PLEASE NOTE! Due to the age, the PRAM buffer batteries (BR2325) are empty or almost empty on these boards. The PRAM area, which stores e.g. the time, is therefore reset when both the power supply and the battery are removed!
As long as the MacBook is connected to a power source (battery or power supply or both), this is not a problem.
Unfortunately, the backup batteries for the PRAM of this model are no longer available as far as we have tried, or only at a disproportionately high price.
Tip for hobbyists: You can get e.g. Panasonic BR2325 lithium batteries with solder tags on the internet. You can then solder the cable of the old PRAM battery there (please pay attention to correct polarity!) and secure the whole thing again with armor tape or heat shrink tubing.
